Our brood mares: We love the gentle nature of the Rockies and the temperament really stands out in our mares. Molly, our oldest mare, was misnamed at birth, she should have been called Angel as that would better describe her and her attitude. She stands about 14.2 or 14.3, and has a very sweet and loving personality. She is so naturally gaited, that when she runs around after her babies, she gaits all the time. We like her personality so well, we named her last baby Angel, because she passes her temperament and loving nature on to her babies. So if you are looking for an Angel, we actually have one. Keki is a true black mare with one white foot and a small blaze, she is a real looker. She stands about 15.2 and is so calm and well behaved that this is the horse we put all of our beginners on when they trail ride with us. You just never have to worry about her doing anything wrong that would even bother a beginner. Keki has such a gentle nature, almost timid, but she is not afraid to move out on the trail when you ask her to, she has that nice little easy going gait that we all love. This sweet horse is not just a brood mare, we take her on trail rides, we have had her in several states on all kinds of trails, she is dependable, comfortable and sure footed. So, obviously, you know what kind of foals she produces when you breed her to good stallions. |
